On a parallel street to Strøget, the main shopping street of CPH, we finished building this extraordinary 2 bedroom apartment in march 2020.
Private entrance, all modern facilities and a grand kitchen and living area makes this a great choice for families or couples who want to spend quality time together while staying in the midst of the shopping and dining district of inner city.
On the rear side of this history filled building you will find this large and modern first floor apartment. From the open living space, which is somewhat split into a separate lounge and kitchen/dining area, the two spacious and bright bedrooms are beautifully closed off with big french glass walls. Bedroom windows are facing Lille Kongensgade which recently started blooming with cafe’s, restaurants and flower shops.
A tour of the place
Entering a small backyard through a wooden fence from Lille Kongensgade and you will find the staircase leading up to the apartment. The stairs are older and narrow. The apartment entrance is on the first floor with lots of space for luggages, overcoats and shoes.
From the entrance a hallway takes you to the cosy living room area with lounge furniture, 45” flatscreen TV with Apple TV connected and a sleeping couch that unfolds into a comfortable queensize (160x200cm) bed if needed.
The living room is connected with the dining and open kitchen area which is really the heart of this vacation home. Everybody automatically meets here so group breakfast or even dinners are always easy and a social success in this apartment.
The massive french glass walls separates the two bedrooms from the dining area. Curtains can be drawn for full privacy while the glass allows for lots of light to shine through the apartment.
Both bedrooms hold comfortable kingsize (180x200cm) beds which can split into singles if preferred, mirrors and of course storage space.
Around the corner from the dining area you will find the newly build bathroom with big stone tiles, a nice big shower and a scandinavian minimalistic design throughout.
Interior design and furniture solutions by danish "Indretningsfabrikken" has made the space stand out as classic and warm yet modern and inline with the history of the building.
On Strøget (Østergade) some of Copenhagens finest shops are located. High end brands like Gucci, Louis Vuitton and local classics like Birger Christensen are side by side in this posh end of the famous shopping street. A two minute walk and you will hit Kongens Nytorv, Nyhavn and lots and lots of great restaurants, bars and sights to explore. The metro is around the block and with a 12 minute train ride from there you are at the airport. A convenient, classy and buzzling location.
